Two more injuries for Australia
Australian captain Michael Clarke has rolled his ankle at training and is in serious doubt for the 5th ODI against Sri Lanka at the Bellerive Oval tomorrow. This is really terrible news, as Australia need to win the match to draw the series 2-2. With such short notice on this injury, it is unlikely a cover batsman will fly in, meaning Australia's batting line-up will shorten even more with Glen Maxwell coming in.
e.g.
1 - Warner
2 - Hughes
3 - Bailey
4 - D.Hussey
5 - G.Maxwell
6 - M.Wade
7 - M.Henriques
If this turns out to be true, Sri Lanka could have an absolutely field day bowling to this line-up. A side already struggling with Kulasekera's swing, could be decimated tomorrow, especially if conditions are bowler friendly in Hobart.
Meanwhile, Michael Beer has injured his shoulder and is now in doubt for the 4 Test Match tour of India. With the search for a second spinner already bleak, Beer was the favourite for the position. Now Stephen O'Keefe or Glen Maxwell could find themselves in contention. Despite India's relatively poor test form, neither of these bowlers will inspire any fear whatsover in their batsmen.
