Another one bites the dust!

Australia's fast bowling injury curse has struck again with young gun Mitchell Starc ruled out of the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka starting tomorrow. He apparently felt soreness in his calf after last night's win, and management have decided not to risk aggravating the injury any further. Despite this the team hierarchy feels confident that it is only minor and Starc could in fact play in the 3rd or 4th ODI starting next week.

Kane Richardson has been called up to the squad thanks to his impressive Ryobi Cup and Big Bash form this summer. The South Australian took 10 wickets at 17.80 in the 50 over domestic competition in only 4 matches, while more recently has also taken 10 wickets for the Adelaide Strikers in the T20 format of the game. In spite of this, he is unlucky to make his debut, as Ben Cutting who didn't play the first match, is likely to play.
