Sri Lanka level series with crushing win

Sri Lanka won the second ODI last night against Australia on the back of a brilliant unbeaten century by Lahiru Thirimanne, which was his first in 50 over cricket. Australia despite dismissing Tharanga on the third ball of the innings were never in the hunt after posting a disappointing total of 170. Dilshan supported Thirimanne well with 51 (off a suprisingly slow 88 balls), while Lahiru ended up on 102* after a boundary to bring up his ton and also the win.

One interesting point of the match was Kane Richardson, the debutant, who was sensationally banned from bowling again in the match after receiving three warnings for running on the pitch. It is unlikely that he just started doing this in the this match, so it is disappointing that no domestic umpires picked him up on it. Hopefully he can remodel his follow through so he can play more international games in the future.
