India and Sri Lanka to play-off in Tri-Series Final

India have defeated rivals Sri Lanka in the final league game in the West Indies to qualify for the final against the same opponents. In another rain affected match India made 119/3 off their 29 overs before routing Sri Lanka for 96 after the target was boosted to 178 from 26 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with an amazing 4/8 off 6 overs.

In a tri-series with plenty of twists, hosts West Indies who won their first two matches, now miss out on the final. It will be disappointing for them as they would have expected to make it at the halfway stage of the tournament. The West Indies will now focus on their limited over series of Pakistan featuring 5 ODI's and 2 T20I's. Meanwhile India will be hoping for some more silverware after their Champions Trophy win last month, while Sri Lanka will be hoping to exact some revenge after losing to India in the semi-final in England.
